《最終幻想7：重製版》第二章將在第一章發售後開發，將來還會繼續製作

《最終幻想7：重製版》採用章節式發售，即將發售的遊戲僅僅是遊戲的第一章，那麼第一章發售後我們還要等多久才能玩到第二章呢?這個問題目前沒有答案，但我們知道的是第二章的開發馬上也會開始。

在接受GameSpot採訪時，製作人北瀨佳范（也是原版遊戲的導演和編劇）說SE會在第一章發售後立馬開始第二章的開發，中間沒有任何間隔。他說：“我覺得我們很可能將直接開始進入開發”。

令人意外的是，北瀨佳范還認識到他有可能會在自己剩下的職業生涯中不斷開發《最終幻想7》，他認為這是一個非常重要的事。

“《最終幻想7：重製版》，如果僅僅保持和原版一樣，那麼它只會作為過去的事情被記住，玩家就不會參與其中了。我覺得為了讓它能繼續被未來的玩家所喜愛和追捧，我們必須不斷地更新它，恰如我們目前正在做的那樣。10年甚至是20年之後，它或許還會再被做一次。所以，即便《最終幻想7》是我這輩子生涯中所做的唯一遊戲，我也不會失望的。”

《最終幻想7：重製版》第一章將於4月10日發售，登陸PS4，PS4主機獨佔截止到2021年4月，容量超過了100GB。目前本作的體驗版現已推出。
